What Is a 14x14 Roll-Up Door?
The 14x14 roll-up door provides a massive 14-foot wide by 14-foot tall opening — a true commercial-grade door designed for heavy equipment, RVs, large trucks, and industrial access. This size is commonly specified on metal building shops, agricultural buildings, and commercial facilities where oversized openings are required.
The 14-foot width easily accommodates most RVs, large tractors with dual attachments, and wide commercial vehicles. This door comes standard with a chain hoist operator and uses a 12-inch drum, which pairs with the Hiro electric opener for motorized operation.
TruGlide 14x14 doors are engineered with a minimum .016" steel (27 gauge) curtain, 18 gauge galvanized steel tracks, and a heavy-duty torsion spring system sized for the increased door weight. Every component is built to handle the demands of large-scale commercial use.

Compatible Opener: Hiro
The 14x14 door uses a 12-inch drum and is compatible with the Hiro electric opener. The Hiro opener is designed for 14-foot and 16-foot wide doors with 12-inch drums.
Motor Installation
Electric motors are typically installed on the right-hand side when standing inside the building looking outward. Installing on the opposite side can cause reverse operation and installer issues.
Chain Hoist Operator
The 14x14 door comes standard with a chain hoist operator. All 14-foot and 16-foot wide doors include a chain hoist.
When both a chain hoist and electric motor are installed, the motor is placed on the right side and the chain on the left side. If only the chain hoist is used (without an electric motor), the chain is placed on the right side.

Internal Kick Latches
This door uses internal kick latches on both sides. Kick latches lock into notches cut into the bottom of the guide rails. Exterior latches are not used on doors equipped with a chain hoist operator.

Available with 2 mm foam insulation double-side taped to the door curtain, providing an approximate R-value of 1. Insulated doors include a header seal and side brush seals.
